Periodic maintenance is crucial for long-term durability of the elevator components. Annual inspections of the elevator must be performed by the authorised inspection company, and also monthly maintenances must be carried out in order to ensure the safety of passengers. As per the directive, monthly maintenances are compulsory and should be performed by a company with the Certificate of Service Competency which is given by Turkish Standards Institution (TSE). Manager of the building where the elevator is located and the building's board of directors are responsible for keeping track of the maintenances.
